Tab Management (Search, Navigation, and Descriptions)
Enhance tab management by enabling search, clearer navigation, and better visibility of tab names and purposes. Potential improvements include a vertical tab list view, hover-based descriptions, and tab grouping to reduce clutter and improve usability in workspaces with many tabs.

Another user shared detailed feedback around tab navigation and usability challenges:
Difficult navigation of bottom tabs — tabs are small, hard to click, and difficult to scroll through, especially with UI elements overlapping (e.g., support widget, OS menu behavior on Mac).
Poor tab renaming experience — text input field is hard to see/edit, cursor position unclear, and edits often require retyping entire tab names.
Limited visibility for large numbers of tabs — hard to quickly find or understand tabs when many are present.
Lack of tab-level descriptions/context — users don’t have a built-in way to understand what each tab is for, leading her to create a manual “guide” workflow as a workaround.
Onboarding/learnability challenge — navigation becomes manageable over time, but initial understanding is difficult for new users.
Overall request: Improve tab navigation, editing experience, visibility, and add contextual descriptions to make workflows easier to navigate and understand, especially for new users.

Brian Ragone this mockup looks like it has categories/departments approach. If people want to organize like that, I wonder if a solution could be to have a small icon between your current + and tab hamburger selector with and icon (something similar to one of the attached) that would allow the category selection if user has multiple and then the current hamburger tab selector menu for tabs would show tabs within that category. Based on the mockup, I can see people have trouble navigating sub menu if someone has many categories and tabs

Alex Bainov Hm yes, I see what you're saying. Let me think on this — I agree the tabs need more room for scalability, and organization into larger groups.
