We’re fixing a bug that prevented users from permanently deleting an organization. This ensures that when you choose to delete an org, the action is completed as expected.

We’re improving Puzzle AI Notes by passing the step executor (e.g., Person, Automation, AI Agent) into the OpenAI prompt behind the scenes. This helps Puzzle generate more accurate and context-aware documentation, especially for workflows where execution type changes how a step is described.

We’re updating the behavior for template saving and section duplication so that key step-level details are carried over automatically. Going forward, when you duplicate a section or save it as a template, the following fields will now be included: ⏱️ Time duration 🔁 Frequency ✅ Tasks This ensures your duplicated content stays accurate and complete — saving time and reducing manual rework.

To make the step type selection clearer and more intuitive, we’re adding a visual divider in the dropdown menu. The following step types will now appear in a “Special Types” group at the bottom: Alias Conditional Go to This update helps users quickly distinguish between standard step types and those that involve deeper functionality or advanced behavior.

We're fixing a confusing (and potentially dangerous) behavior in the delete all items flow within Puzzle Workspaces. Right now, the deletion confirmation modal sometimes shows the number of items from another tab (not the one the user is actively viewing). This can lead to accidental bulk deletions from the wrong tab. We're updating this so that: The delete modal always reflects the currently selected tab No delete action proceeds unless the user is clearly focused on the tab being deleted This update is meant to reduce accidental data loss and give users more confidence when managing their workspace tabs.

We're exploring a change to how Puzzle handles Stripe billing for plan upgrades and user seat changes. Currently, users aren’t charged immediately when they upgrade — instead, the prorated amount is added to their next invoice, which can lead to unexpectedly large charges. We’re looking into updating this behavior so that: Prorated charges are billed immediately upon upgrade or seat change This provides better clarity and avoids confusion on upcoming invoices This is especially important for admins managing budgets or tracking seat usage in real time.

When a user clicks “Add Entity”, the entity editor will now open automatically, allowing them to name and configure the entity right away — instead of defaulting to “Untitled.” The name field will also start blank, encouraging users to enter a meaningful name up front and reduce the chances of leaving placeholder text in place. This makes the entity creation flow smoother and more intuitive.

We’re rolling out several improvements to make working with entities and attributes in Puzzle much more intuitive and powerful: ✅ New: Attributes Detail Sidebar Clicking edit on an attribute will open a new sidebar showing: Attribute name, API name, type, and description All steps that use the attribute Dropdown options (if the attribute is a dropdown or multi-select) Ability to add/remove dropdown values Sidebar opens automatically when creating a new attribute ✅ Improved UI & Navigation Attributes will now appear as pills (with hover actions like "edit" and "delete") to reduce clutter and match the rest of the UI Attribute pills will show how many steps each is used in (on hover) Clicking “Add Attribute” will take you directly to the detailed sidebar ✅ Entity Menu Updates Replacing the current icons with a more intuitive “...” menu with actions: Rename Bulk Add Delete ✅ Usability Fixes Fixing the dropdown UI so it no longer covers the delete button When typing “@” to tag an attribute in a step, the search will now continue after a space (e.g. typing @Customer First will still match Customer First Name) When adding a new entity, the rename modal will open automatically so you’re not left with "Untitled" These updates will make attributes and entities much easier to manage, navigate, and scale across your processes.

We’re expanding the section-level process cost sidebar to include tool costs alongside labor costs. What’s changing: A new “Tool Costs” section will appear below the existing labor cost breakdown It will display monthly and annual costs for tools used in steps within the section only Tool pills (matching the Tools canvas style) will show per-tool cost breakdowns Tool costs won’t be affected by the monthly/annual toggle — that toggle will only apply to labor costs This gives users a more complete view of the total cost of a process by surfacing both human and software costs at the section level.

We’re fixing a formatting bug where process cost totals on a section display in scientific notation (e.g., 12e3) instead of a readable number (1200). This issue appears when the cost ends in zeros and should be shown in standard numeric format.
